China and Lenovo’s Ebox

PC manufacturer Lenovo has decided to develop a game console which is the clone of Microsoft’s Kinetic console for the Chinese Market. Ebox will find a way to differentiate between human, objects and environment in 3D space, then compute a 3D model of the human body for motion synthesis.

How Xbox Kinetic Works

Microsoft partnered up with PrimeSense for developing the 3D sensor chip for the Kinetic which is the new future for Microsoft. The top image is from GIZMODO showing the hardware components of the Xbox 360 Kinetic system. But how the optical system works on the hardware level is fairly basic!
